Antique Sextant made by Stebbing, Southampton.

A fine late 19th century navigators Sextant, brass frame with ladder design. Engraved on the arc Stebbing, Southampton.

The silver scale reads from -5  degrees to 150 degrees and is divided into 10 minute increments. The index arm has swinging scale magnifier, the silver vernier scale reads from 0 to 10 seconds of arc. 7.5 inch radius.

This antique Sextant is contained within its original hardwood box. It comes complete with all its accessories - Four telescopes, two eye piece sun filters and magnifying glass.
